Knife Factories Area

In the southern part of Seki City there is an area,
It's called "Hitase".















Here, there are several knife manufacturers.



At the back, also there is Henckels factory which is the number one knife maker of Germany.




In this area, we found a manufacturer that makes very beautiful and very good quality knives.

This company was founded in 1918,
 has inherited the tradition of swordsmith,
 and reproduced the characteristics of Japanese sword with modern technology.

 In this factory they are working about 15 people very concentrated.

Visit knife manufacturer City Seki, Japan

Today we visited Seki City.
Sakai (Osaka), Tsubame, Kochi and Seki are the main producing areas of knives.

and most kitchen knives are manufactured in Seki.
also manufactured nail clippers and scissors.

We have worked with manufacturers of various cities like Seki, Sakai, Tsubame ...
but our office located near Seki.
So we start writing about the manufacture of Seki.


Our office located 20 km from Seki. (Approx 30 minutes by car)
until reach to Seki, there are pure fields and sometimes it found traditional temples.




First, we went to the Knives Center (Hamono-Kaikan) to get information of manufacturers.

This building is made by several knife manufacturer's investment .
First floor is knives shop.


In this small room there is specialist for resharpening knives.




Second floor is the office. Here we can ask about knife manufacturers.
Next time we will visit knife manufacturer.

but there are much more hidden factories and workshops.
They work with only few companies in same area,
and there is no information on Internet.
But they have great craftsmanship.
So we want to visit these factories directly and show you their productions.
May be this process will be very interesting, because can not see these things on internet.
